WELCOME TO DANANG!

Da Nang City is the fourth largest city in Vietnam, following Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi (the capital), and Hai Phong in terms of urbanization and economic development potential. Da Nang is a Grade-I municipality and one of the five centrally-governed cities of Vietnam. In the eyes of Vietnamese people, Da Nang is seen as a clean, green, and beautiful coastal tourism city, often referred to as a “livable city” and the dream destination for many. It is also ranked among the Top 10 most beautiful and famous places in Vietnam.

Da Nang, Hanoi & Ho Chi Minh City were ranked among the Top 10 Best Big Cities in Southeast Asia in the Asia’s Best Awards 2022 by the renowned American travel magazine Travel & Leisure. Furthermore, Da Nang has been recognized as the representative city of Vietnam on the list of Top 10 Best Places to Live Abroad by the travel magazine Live and Invest Overseas (LIO).

CLIMATE OF DA NANG

Da Nang City belongs to a tropical monsoon climate zone with high and relatively stable temperatures, averaging around 25.6ºC (the highest temperature occurs in June at 29.2ºC, and the lowest in February at 21.2ºC). Notably, the Ba Na Hills tourist area, situated at an altitude of nearly 1,500 meters above sea level, enjoys a cool climate all year round with average temperatures ranging from 17ºC to 20ºC.

Da Nang is geographically positioned at the transition zone between the climates of northern and southern Vietnam, though it leans more towards the tropical climate of the south. The year is distinctly divided into two seasons: the dry season and the rainy season.

• Dry season: Lasts from January to July.

• Rainy season: Extends from August to February of the following year.
